I've wanted to do a picture like this since seeing Varekai in 2006. I'm pretty happy with it, especially because it was painted without lines.
The performer represents the sun, and she's on a trapeze hanging from the ceiling, which is where the viewer is positioned, I guess as another performer. I found perspective the hardest to do, especially with the trapeze ropes. Work on: - perspective, especially foreshortening of hand and illusion of distance. - detail in background. I get tired... |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
